  Fantastic National Park that I feel is underrated. Most of Central and South Saskatchewan is covered in farmland so it is refreshing to go somewhere where you can see the landscape as it originally was before the land was settled. The views are breathtaking and most photos really cannot do the area justice.

  A park that was serene and peaceful. I finally got see buffalo too. It's a large piece of land that's good for the soul.

  My last visit was the eclipse. The park was very helpful in making sure everyone had a safe way to view and provided experiments during the phenomenon. We were even given the opportunity to view through a telescope.

  While you certainly don't have to, I would go here expecting to do some hiking. That is by far the best way to really experience the park and you'll be rewarded with views you will find nowhere else in Saskatchewan.

  Loved this place! I went specifically for the endless sea of grass, wildlife, wild territory, backcountry camping and hiking. Don't expect trees and shade or swimming creeks to cool down. Very hot in July/August so bring lots of water, sun screen and cover up (we were wearing long sleeves). Great landscape and peace. Barely saw anyone there except two hikers and 3 or 4 cars, which is amazing. The staff at the entrance is great and helpful. Cool informative book and stops to complete by car to learn about the grasslands and the history of them. Beware of rattlesnakes, but 3 days in the country and we didn't see nor hear any. I encourage people to go visit greatly worth the detour! Very different than what most of us are used to for landscape and park. Great value to keep protecting and to discover.

  I've lived in Saskatchewan all my life but this was amazing. Grassland as far as you can see and amazing hills to climb up for a better view. There are trails but you can go off on your own adventure if you want to. Note: the water is very salty so bring your own

  This is a vastly different area compared to what most people may be familiar with when they think "National Park". It's easy to associate that with mountains and forested lakes. And while those are certainly amazing and worth seeing, a place like Grasslands National Park offers a unique experience.

  This is not the place you go to if you want to sit around and relax for the weekend. While you could do that of course, you'll be missing out on what the park really has to offer. It's easy enough to find a list of specific things to do so I won't go into detail.
